Huawei Fiber Optic Wall Mounting Panel

Huawei fiber optic wall mount panels are installed by securing a wall-mount bracket, arranging cables properly, and mounting the device with attention to grounding and fiber handling.Preparation
  1. Select the Wall: Choose a vertical, load-bearing wall or reinforced concrete wall capable of supporting the device and bracket weight. For other wall types, reinforce and verify load capacity .
  2. Tools Needed: Measuring tape, pencil, level, drill, hammer drill, screwdriver, expansion bolts, and appropriate screws .
  3. Cables and Fiber: Use 0.9 mm loose tube optical fibers with SC/UPC short pigtails. Avoid mechanical splice terminals to prevent fiber coiling issues .
Installing the Wall-Mount Bracket
  1. Mark Positions: Hold the bracket against the wall and mark the mounting holes with a pencil or marker. Ensure the bracket arrows point upwards .
  2. Drill Holes: Use a drill bit suitable for the screw diameter. Drill holes to the recommended depth (typically 40–45 mm for expansion tubes), .
  3. Insert Expansion Tubes: Hammer the expansion tubes flush with the wall .
  4. Secure Bracket: Fasten the bracket using screws and a Phillips screwdriver, ensuring it is firmly attached .
Mounting the Device
  1. Prepare Device: Remove side covers and dustproof panels from the wall-mount bracket. Ensure the device ports face downwards or sideways to prevent dust ingress .
  2. Cable Arrangement: Pre-deploy cables, coil optical fibers at the bottom of the bracket, and reserve extra length to allow device removal .
  3. Connect Cables: Attach optical fibers to the optical ports, DC power cable to the power port, and Ethernet cables to the XGE port if applicable .
  4. Mount Device: Align the device with the bracket grooves and slide it downwards until it clicks into the lock position. Ensure rubber feet or tabs are aligned with mounting holes .
Power Adapter Installation
  • If using a power adapter, mark and drill holes for its mounting, then secure it on the wall or within the bracket. Ensure proper heat dissipation and grounding .
  • If no adapter is used, prepare a 2-PIN DC power cable according to Huawei specifications .
Safety and Maintenance Tips
  • Ensure the device is reliably grounded using a ground cable .
  • Maintain a minimum installation height of 800 mm and maximum of 1100 mm for accessibility .
  • Avoid pressing on the device edges during installation to prevent damage .
  • Verify that the wall and bracket can bear at least four times the device weight for safety . Following these steps ensures a secure, functional, and maintainable installation of Huawei fiber optic wall mount panels.
