EU Fiber Optic Cable Map

Explore our fibre-optic grid with our interactive map: Zoom into the map in seven steps (zoom levels) to view the route in detail or search directly for your location using the search function. Filter by city connections, districts and fibre-optic routes. Did we pique your interest? This visualization shows the growth of the undersea cable network, global internet peering capacity, and the distribution of IP addresses via BGP announcements over time. Use the controls at the top to play the animation or step through year by year. We incorporate maps from the “Google Maps” service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The processed data may also include, in particular, your IP addresses and location data. The Infrastructure Connectivity Map (Broadband maps - BBmaps) webapp provides infrastructure visualization of ICT networks. It consists of an interactive online mapping application that aggregates and visualizes various dimensions of quality of service (QoS) delivered by broadband networks (fixed and mobile) in the European Union. See how we've developed our network, explore the footprint and connected buildings and find out what's currently under. On this page I collect links to the network maps of European bandwidth providers. Where only a global map is available, such as for the larger telecoms, I refer to the International Network Maps page so that I don't have duplicate links to keep.
