How to connect the optical receiver to power

To power an optical receiver, connect it to a compatible power source using its included adapter or USB cable before connecting the optical cable.Steps to Connect Power
  1. Identify the Power Input on the Receiver Most optical receivers have a small port labeled “DC IN”, “Power”, or a USB port for power. Check the device's manual to confirm the correct input type.
  2. Use the Provided Power Adapter or Cable
    • If your receiver comes with a DC adapter, plug it into a wall outlet and connect the other end to the receiver's power input.
    • Some receivers are powered via USB; in this case, connect the USB cable to a USB port on your TV, soundbar, or a USB wall charger.
  3. Ensure Proper Voltage and Polarity Verify that the adapter matches the receiver's voltage and current requirements. Using the wrong adapter can damage the device.
  4. Power On the Receiver Once connected, switch on the receiver if it has a power button. Many optical receivers have an LED indicator that lights up when powered.
Connecting the Optical Cable

After powering the receiver:

  • Insert the TOSLINK optical cable into the receiver's optical input port.
  • Connect the other end to the optical output of your TV, soundbar, or AV receiver.
  • Ensure the cable is aligned properly and avoid bending it sharply to prevent damage to the fiber optic strands .
Configure Audio Settings
  • On your source device (TV, console, or PC), select optical output or TOSLINK in the audio settings.
  • On your receiver or sound system, select the corresponding optical input.
  • Test audio playback and adjust volume or sound modes as needed . By following these steps, your optical receiver will be powered and ready to transmit high-quality digital audio from your source device.
